Buckcherry is the debut album by the rock band Buckcherry. It was released on April 6, 1999 by DreamWorks Records. "Lit Up", "For the Movies", "Dead Again", and "Check Your Head" were released as singles. As of September 2006, the album has sold in excess of 750,000 copies, and was certified Gold by both the RIAA and Canada, making it DreamWorks' first Gold album. It is the band's only album as a four-piece.
The LP's cover art has become a notable point of recognition for the band, but interestingly the model from the cover has never actually been identified. A Google search reveals various potential answers but leaves questions as well. Although there is nothing definitive as to the woman's identity, it has been confirmed that the image was originally used as the book cover of How to Tell a Naked Man What to Do: Sex Advice From a Woman Who Knows by Candida Royalle. The only difference is that the color of her lingerie was changed from black to red for the album cover.

A popular theory over the years is that the woman is actress Katherine Heigl. A Yahoo! Answers result from over 10 years ago suggests this, linking to a supposed interview with a member of the band that has since been removed. The album's Wikipedia page claims that it is not Heigl, and links out to a website that has since been removed but can be accessed by an archival application.
So the Deftones were partying at a pool party one night. They get introduced to a candid picture of one of the night's guests. They loved it so much they wanted it their next album cover. So, they had to track down the girl to get permission. This kind of stuff only happens to rock stars. If you are at a pool party and happen to see a hot, wet gal like this then want to track her down...well, chances are you will be slapped with a restraining order.
This album cover came with a bit of controversy. The Chili Peppers used the photograph of model Alaine Dawn but failed to inform her about it. She got upset. She hired an attorney. She won lots of money. Isn't that the way it always goes?
Sugar Ray isn't the most rock of the rock bands on this list but at one point they used to be semi-heavy. However, I used to have the biggest crush on Nicole Eggert so when she graced this cover it immediately became one of my favorites.
This album cover doesn't show the most skin, but who doesn't love a silhouette of a hot woman waving along with an American flag? That, and it's one of the coolest greatest hits albums of all time. That's why this album cover tops my list.

Confessions is an odd title for a Buckcherry album, as the Los Angeles rock & roll band has never held back any secrets. They've always been unapologetic for what they are: an old-fashioned hard rock group, living hard for good times in an era when good times are hard to find. Now on their sixth album -- moving from the Atlantic group to Century Media in the process -- the bandmembers aren't necessarily getting long in the tooth but they do lack the young, hungry energy that made their Guns N' Roses rips work. Now, they feel more at home whenever they cop the candied psychedelia of Stone Temple Pilots, emphasizing melody over riffs, and they do that a fair amount on Confessions, enough to keep the record relatively varied, certainly more than most Buckcherry records, which isn't to say that it covers a great deal of ground but it does indeed have light shade and a nice melodic bent that counters the slightly desperate rock & roll found elsewhere on the album.
California hard rockers Buckcherry are set to release their ninth studio album, Hellbound on June 25th, 2021 via Round Hill Records in North America, Earache Records in the UK, Europe and Australia and Sony Japan in Japan.
